Family Mental Health Support Services

Service Description

The Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS) at Breakthru provides free, early intervention support for children and young people aged 0-18 who are showing early signs of emotional or behavioural difficulties, or who may be at risk of developing mental health concerns. We work with the whole family, recognising that children do best when parents, carers, schools and services are involved. Our support is non-clinical and focuses on building resilience, strengthening relationships, and providing practical strategies for everyday challenges. Support can include one-on-one sessions with children or parents, group programs, advocacy, and assistance linking families to community services. Sessions are flexible and can be delivered at school, in the community, or online.
