Recover Injury Research Centre

Service Description

The mission of RECOVER is to optimise the physical, psychological, communication, social and vocational recovery of people following injury, especially when caused by road traffic crashes. Our research focuses on developing, validating, and translating client-centred interventions to reduce disability for individuals who sustain a personal injury in a road traffic crash. RECOVER is based at the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) specialist public health facility in Queensland, Australia and is a member of the STARS Education and Research Alliance. The alliance is a partnership between Metro North Health and The University of Queensland. The alliance brings together world-leading researchers, clinicians and educators to create knowledge and embed clinical research that transforms patient outcomes and clinical care.
